Drumming at the Pier

 

Drummers with drums of many kinds drummed out a hypnotic beat and cadence last weekend at the pier amphitheater. I took this shot with my Holga 120 WPC pinhole camera and expired Kodak Ektachrome 100 ASA slide film.

Huntington Beach Street Theater

This chap was doing something bizarre (to his body I think) with a claw hammer and nails on the plaza in front of the pier. I didn't stick around to find out what. Olympus XA and Kodak Ultramax 800 film.

The Human Whirligig

Saw this kid do this incredible, gravity-defying leap on the HB pier. I asked if he'd do it again so I could snap a picture and he kindly obliged. Canon F1 and FD 28mm lens with Arista EDU 400 film. Developed in Rodinal.
